New York Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez is now in sole possession of second place on the all-time list with 1,997 career RBIs.
After waiting seven games to drive a run in, the Yankees slugger would direct eyes to himself with every at bat.
Finally, in Friday's game against the Los Angeles Angels, A-Rod drilled a Jered Weaver changeup for a single, scoring the speedy Brett Gardner from third base.

Despite sitting in second, Rodriguez is still a long way away from topping the all-time leader, Hank Aaron. The hall-of-famer is nestled comfortably atop the RBI list with 2,297 RBIs.
Then after hitting a double in the seventh inning, his third hit of the game, A-Rod came around to score, passing Stan Musial for eighth on the all-time runs list with 1,950.
