Alex Rodriguez is officially a member of the 2,000 RBI club.
In the sixth inning against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday night, the New York Yankees slugger belted a two-run homer off Bud Norris, cementing him as one of the game's best at driving in runs.
A-Rod joins Hank Aaron as the only other player in major league history to reach the 2,000 RBI plateau. Although he's now at 2,001, he's still a ways off the all-time mark of 2,297.
Considering RBIs didn't become an official statistic until 1920, there's some debate over how many RBIs Ruth tallied, given he made his MLB debut in 1914.
