Jeter on Retirement
By Danny B Sports

Derek Jeter spent two decades as the shortstop for the New York Yankees. Less than seven months into retirement, he couldn't be happier.
Jeter, who didn't attend Opening Day for the first time in 20 years, says he's enjoying not having to spend long hours at the ballpark and has kept busy building his media company, The Players' Tribune, a website that empowers athletes editorially.
"To be honest with you, I don't miss it at all," Jeter said Wednesday on SiriusXM Radio, according to ESPN New York.
Jeter, 40, indicated he'll return to Yankee Stadium when the team retires the numbers of fellow Core Four members Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte and Bernie Williams, but says he hasn't paid close enough attention to offer an informed American League East prediction this season.
"I really can't give you an answer but, you know, the AL East has always been a tough division; I'm sure it will continue to be tough," he said. "But I have no clue. I really have not watched."
