Baseball Fans Setting Records
By Danny B Sports

(If you though Baseball was dead read this)

Baseball is proving, yet again, that it's not a dying sport.
The first chunk of the 2015 season provided concrete evidence that America's pastime is alive and well.
Major League Baseball games across the sport's 30 parks drew 1.5 million fans during each of the first two weekends for the first time in league history. The total cumulative attendance of 3,093,382 for the first two weekends was also a record, surpassing the 2,978,303 that showed up in 2005.
Further history can be made if the third weekend of the season follows with another large turnout.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, who have played a major league-leading nine home games, have drawn the most total fans at 422,210, according to ESPN.
Los Angeles is averaging 46,912 fans per home contest, which is also the top mark in the game. Five other teams - the Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Angels, San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees - are each drawing 40,000-plus fans per game.
The Angels, Cardinals, Giants and Boston Red Sox are the only four teams filling their stadium at 90-plus percent capacity on average each home contest.
