It appears Floyd Mayweather is no longer interested in a rematch with Manny Paquiao.
Mayweather won a dominant decision over Pacquiao in the so-called "Fight of the Century" last week, though Pacquiao competed with a shoulder injury and claimed he was only operating at about 60 percent.
With Pacquiao's shoulder ailment serving as a built-in reason to stage a second lucrative bout, Mayweather, who initially showed interest in giving the Filipino superstar another kick at the can, is instead looking for a new opponent for his possible retirement match in September.
"I look forward to Pacquiao fighting on the undercard," Mayweather told FightHype.com, according to CBS Sports' Marty Gitlin. "...We could fight on pay-per-view on a doubleheader. I think we both can make some good money. He can fight somebody solid, I can fight somebody
Although Pacquiao could be sidelined for 9-12 months following shoulder surgery, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is still working to put together a potential "Rematch of the Century."
"I think we now know what the pitfalls were," Arum said. "And, ultimately, with all the aggravation and trouble, look at the pot of gold that we both produced. I think there will probably be less aggravation in a rematch. We understand each other better now. There's a real possibility it could work ever better."
